Is our only HOPE of protecting America that we build Mosques along our southern border?

Obama only seems to care about Islam and Muslims.

I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.
Barack Obama

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit said he had a one-on-one meeting with Obama, in which President Obama told him that he was still a Muslim, the son of a Muslim father, the stepson of Muslim stepfather, that his half brothers in Kenya are Muslims, and that he was sympathetic towards the Muslim agenda.

One of Nasa’s top priority is making Muslims feel good?
NASA administrator….Bolden said in a recent interview with al-Jazeera, the mission to reach out to Muslims is “perhaps foremost,” because it will help Islamic nations “feel good” about their scientific accomplishments.

Not unless you want to get fitted for your burkha ASAP!! But you are correct. And is not his responsibility to “fight negative stereotypes” wherever they appear. His responsibility is to uphold the constitution, protect and serve. And the first amendment is not his to take away though he and his minions are trying hard.

click images for larger view The Vision for Space Exploration is the United States space policy announced on January 14, 2004 by U.S. President George W. Bush. It is seen as a response to the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster, the state of human spaceflight at NASA, and a way to regain public enthusiasm for space exploration. The Vision calls for the space program to:Complete the International Space Station by 2010 Retire the Space Shuttle by 2010 Develop the Orion spacecraft (formerly known as the Crew Exploration Vehicle) by 2008, and conduct its first human spaceflight mission by 2014 Develop Shuttle Derived Launch Vehicles Explore the Moon with robotic spacecraft missions by 2008 and crewed missions by 2020 Explore Mars and other destinations with robotic and crewed missions When the Vision was announced in January 2004, the U.S. Congress and the scientific community gave it a mix of positive and negative reviews. For example, Rep. Dave Weldon (R-Fla.) said, “I think this is the best thing that has happened to the space program in decades,” while physicist and outspoken manned spaceflight opponent Robert L. Park said that robotic spacecraft “are doing so well it’s going to be hard to justify sending a human.”[1]Others, such as the Mars Society have argued that it makes more sense to avoid going back to the Moon and instead focus on going to Mars first.[2]In a position paper issued by the National Space Society (NSS), a return to the Moon should be considered a high space program priority, in order to begin development of the knowledge and identification of the industries unique to the Moon. The NSS believes that the Moon may be a repository of the history and possible future of our planet, and that the six Apollo landings only scratched the surface of that treasure. Features: The Exploration patch depicts NASA’s vision for space exploration, with an arc that extends over the Earth, and then proceeds to extend to the Moon, Mars and beyond. 4″ embroidered patch

The Space Shuttle: Celebrating Thirty Years of NASA’s First Space Plane [Hardcover] Author: Piers Bizony Bookviews by Alan Caruba”…a classic coffee table book, 10.5 x 11.25, 300 pages and filled with 900 color photos. In short, the perfect Christmas gift for someone who is an enthusiast for life and travel in outer space. In the 1980s, on assignment, I had the opportunity to visit the John F. Kennedy Space Center and tour the site where rockets and space shuttles were launched. I saw a shuttle up close and that is to say I saw a vehicle that was the size of a small building and marveled that it could be lifted beyond Earth?s gravity to circle the planet. One can only marvel at the courage of the crews that went aloft and the scientific and technological mastery that made it possible. This book is a keeper!” This superbly designed and lavishly illustrated book marks a special moment in history: the final mission of the space shuttle. Noted space and science author Piers Bizony has put together a retrospective that covers the entire space shuttle program. In addition to covering every space shuttle mission, the book also covers the development and design of the space shuttle, as well as the technical specifications of the vehicle and details of its major assemblies and subassemblies. A full double-gatefold provides a large-scale technical drawing of the space shuttle. Gemini 6: The NASA Mission Reports Gemini 6 – The NASA Mission Reports Includes: Windows CDROM featuring: Over 50 minutes of 16mm film footage of Gemini 6. Over 180 still pictures from Gemini 6. Two movies about the Gemini program. Nearly one hour of MPEG video and an exclusive interview with Gemini 6 Commander Wally Schirra.Lost in the glare of Apollo?s success, the Gemini program is often forgotten. Without the ten successful manned Gemini missions NASA could not have accomplished Kennedy?s seemingly impossible goal of landing a man on the moon in the 1960?s.Gemini 6 was the fifth manned flight of America?s two-man spacecraft. Aboard were Commander Wally Schirra and rookie pilot Tom Stafford. Their original mission flight plan was to attempt the first ever docking and rendezvous in space, an essential step if the pilots flying Apollo would ever be able to meet up in orbit around the moon. The Soviet Union had claimed the first space rendezvous but many felt that unless the pilot was in control and able to maneuver around the accompanying vehicle it could not truly be called a rendezvous. On October 25th 1965 the target vehicle, known as Atlas/Agena failed to make orbit and so the crew of Gemini 6 were suddenly presented with a totally revised and audacious flight plan. The long duration Gemini 7 mission was already scheduled for launch and so the crew of Gemini 6 were told that NASA would attempt a double manned mission and rendezvous. This was undoubtedly a risky proposition which would stretch the NASA infra-structure to its limits. On December 15th 1965 ace pilot Schirra and rendezvous maestro Stafford closed to within a meter of Gemini 7 and America was one step closer to the moon. Apollo 12: The NASA Mission Reports Apollo 12 The NASA Mission Reports comes with a bonus Windows CDROM featuring an exclusive 30th anniversary interview with Command Module Pilot Captain Richard “Dick” Gordon ? the movie “Pinpoint For Science” ? the full EVA television record ? the in flight press conference ? over 2100 still photographs and five Quicktime panoramas of the Ocean Of Storms. When the crew of Apollo 11 returned to Earth in July 1969 they brought with them a wealth of new information about the moon. Now astronauts Charles (Pete) Conrad, Alan Bean and Richard Gordon would return to the moon and build on that knowledge. The real test for the crew of Apollo 12 was not to see if they could get to the moon, but to see if they could get to an exact place on the moon. Their target was in an area known as the Ocean Of Storms. On November 14 1969 the crew of Apollo 12 blasted off to their place in history. Not only would Conrad and Bean become the third and fourth men to walk on the moon but they would land the lunar module Intrepid within 600 feet of their designated target. Waiting for them was the unmanned space probe Surveyor 3 which had soft-landed in April 1967. The flight of Apollo 12, which began almost catastrophically when the huge Saturn V was struck by lightning just moments after lift off, went on to yield an enormous amount of valuable data collected during over seven and a half hours on the lunar surface. On their return home the crew of Apollo 12 became the first humans to witness an eclipse of the Sun by the Earth. In Apollo 12 The NASA Mission Reports some of the rare official documentation of the voyage of Apollo 12 is collected and made commercially available for the first time. Gemini 12: The NASA Mission Reports

Gemini 12: The NASA Mission Reports

$19.95

Gemini 12: The NASA Mission Reports The last Gemini flight would be flown by veteran Commander James Lovell and a brilliant rookie called Edwin ?Buzz? Aldrin. Lovell?s experience gained on Gemini 6 would prove the perfect foundation on which the newcomer Aldrin would be able to build a near-perfect science mission. The task of space-walking had proven arduous and dangerous on previous Gemini flights but after months of rigorous training underwater Aldrin was ready to prove that men could actually work comfortably in space. It was a critical exercise which would determine whether a moonwalking astronaut could survive the experience. After two scrubbed launches the final Gemini-Titan stack soared into low earth orbit and docked with its Agena target vehicle, placed aloft only an hour and a half earlier. Aldrin then spent over five hours working outside the spacecraft. His experience as a scuba diver gave him the edge needed to get the work done without exhausting himself as some of his predecessors had done. After 94½ hours in space Lovell and Aldrin splashed into the Pacific Ocean within three miles of the recovery ship. The stage was now set for the final push for the moon. Bonus: As early as 1961, engineer Jim Chamberlin had wanted to send Gemini to the moon. For the first time details of this audacious plan are revealed in a rare document from 1965. Features and Reviews: Paperback: 264 pages Publisher: Collector’s Guide Publishing Inc; Bk&CD-Rom edition (January 1, 2004) Language: English Book Dimensions: 10.1 x 6.9 x 0.6 inches Bonus CD-ROM Included! Apollo 16 - The NASA Mission Reports Volume 1

Apollo 16 – The NASA Mission Reports Volume 1

$19.95

Apollo 16: The NASA Mission Reports, Volume 1 The landing site selected for the crew of Apollo 16 was in the lunar highland area of Descartes. NASA chose to send John Young to command the fifth lunar landing mission. Young had as much or more flight experience than any other member of the astronaut corps. He had circumnavigated the moon on Apollo 10 and he had flown two Gemini missions. Young would later go on to be the first commander of the Space Shuttle. The Descartes landing site was chosen because it appeared to be of volcanic origin. If it was, it might reveal secrets about the origins of the Earth. For three days Young and Duke embarked on their rover, away from the Lunar Module “Orion”, through rugged landscapes, in search of the origins of our world. Meanwhile Ken Mattingly shot hundreds of photographs and probed the moon’s magnetic field from the Command Module “Casper”. Back on Earth the political climate was beginning to turn against NASA and the remarkable risks and exploits undertaken by the crew of Apollo 16 went almost unnoticed by the American public. The three intrepid explorers and their spacecraft harvested a wealth of new data about the Earth-Moon system in an almost flawless performance of skill and bravado. Compiled here are many important documents about the mission including the complete debriefing in the crew’s own words. Features and Reviews ?Altogether, a must for space buffs . . .? – The Observatory Magazine Paperback: 312 pages Publisher: Collector’s Guide Publishing Inc; Pap/Cdr edition (June 1, 2002) Language: English Book Dimensions: 10 x 6.9 x 0.6 inches Bonus CD-ROM Included! Apollo 13 The NASA Mission Reports 40th Anniversary Edition with DVD

$27.95

Apollo 13 The NASA Mission Reports 40th Anniversary Edition with DVD by Robert Godwin On April 11 1970 veteran astronaut Jim Lovell and his crewmates Jack Swigert and Fred Haise rode atop the eighth launch of the Saturn V juggernaut to begin their ill-fated journey to the moon. The aptly named Command Module Odyssey and the reluctant Lunar Module – lifeboat Aquarius were to take the three men to a date with the lunar highland area known as Fra Mauro but fate and a faulty circuit in one of the vehicle’s oxygen tanks would irrevocably alter their plans and turn the flight of Apollo 13 into an epic to rival the original Odyssey. After an explosion in the Service Module crippled the spacecraft while it was still outward bound the crew would spend several harrowing days in near frigid temperatures while the technicians at home worked around the clock to devise new and ingenious ways to keep them alive and bring them home safely. In 1970 some considered Apollo 13 a catastrophic failure but it has since been recognised as one of NASA’s truly great moments, when the spirit of daring and ingenuity came to life in the team at Mission Control as they successfully brought the crew home.In “Apollo 13 The NASA Mission Reports” some of the rare official documentation of the voyage of Apollo 13 is collected and made commercially available for the first time.Includes: Windows DVDROM featuring:The NASA video documentary “Houston We’ve Got A Problem.” The pre-explosion in-flight Television broadcast from Apollo 13. An exclusive video interview with Commander James Lovell. Video of the launch of Apollo 13. The Post-flight Apollo 13 Press Conference video in full DVD quality. The onboard flight movies in DVD quality from an HD transfer of the film. Nearly 600 Hasselblad photographs taken by the Apollo 13 crew. An extensive NASA acronym database. The 198 page technical document “Separation Procedures/ Alternate & Abort Missions for Apollo 13″.What was said about the earlier edition of this book: “As with the other excellent installments in the Mission Reports series, the included CD-ROM backs up the already solid content with searchable documents and choice images and movies.” – Amazon.com editorial.”. . . must represent some of the best value for money possible for any space enthusiast.”. . .
