Private Space Travel
Private Space Travel

Do you have to get straight A's to be a Astronautical Engineer or a Aeronautical engineer?
I'm more like a AB student in my classes and I really want to work for NASA mainly a astronautical engineer but Aeronautical is fine.
I don't want to work for private companies as much because private companies focus more about money then they do space travel/science.
I'm an A student in math, science, soical studies. I get B's but sometimes A's in English.
If you can get at least a bachelor's degree in engineering then you can work at NASA. But NASA does prefer people with more advanced degrees, so go to graduate school if you can.
Space Exploration Technologies seems like they are extremely focused on space and not money, to me.

Realizing Tomorrow: The Path to Private Spaceflight - AUTOGRAPHED by Author $45 Realizing Tomorrow: The Path to Private Spaceflight - Author Emeline Paat-Dahlstrom - AUTOGRAPHED by Author "Tighten your seat belt for a wonderful ride of a read that tells the incredible tale of the dedicated people who helped push the throttle forward to make private space travel reality." ?Leonard David, Coalition for Space ExplorationNearly forty years passed between the Apollo moon landings, the grandest accomplishment of a government-run space program, and the Ansari X PRIZE-winning flights of SpaceShipOne, the greatest achievement of a private space program. Now, as we hover on the threshold of commercial spaceflight, authors Chris Dubbs and Emeline Paat-Dahlstrom look back at how we got to this point.Their book traces the lives of the individuals who shared the dream that private individuals and private enterprise belong in space. Realizing Tomorrow provides a behind-the-scenes look at the visionaries, the crackpots, the financial schemes, the legal wrangling, the turf battles, and?underpinning the entire drama?the overwhelming desire of ordinary people to visit outer space.A compelling story of the pioneers of commercial spaceflight?both American and Soviet/Russian?and their efforts to open the final frontier to everyone, this book traces the path to private spaceflight even as it offers an instructive, entertaining, and cautionary note about its future. Kids to Space: A Space Traveler's Guide $29.95 Kids to Space: A Space Traveler's Guide In the interest of getting kids interested in science, math, space, ........Lonnie Schorer invited 6000 students, in 99 schools in every state in the US and from Canada, to take an imaginary trip to space - each asking 3 questions prior to launch. This resulted in 18,000 questions, answered by 83 experts. So, this is: An art book: there are 146 student illustrations in the book and another 1000+ on the CD/ROM accompanying the book, set to Hawkwind soundtracks. A science teachers textbook: packed with science information in 94 different categories. A reading literacy book: a children's story, in large font, precedes each chapter - introducing younger children to the material in the chapter in simple everyday terms. A career guide: a mini-bio for each of the 83 experts is included so that kids can see that one doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to participate in the space effort. An adult book: The average adult does not know 85% of the information in the book. It would seem an investigative expedition, where children think about tomorrow, learn techniques for problem solving to reach a goal, explore the unknown and express their visions for the future is, as an educational exploration, as relevant as a land-based expedition. It is essentially the first private citizens guide to space - generated by children. These children are our future explorers, and we need to encourage and reach them now. Kids To Space Special Edition Author: Lonnie Jones Schorer Reading Level: Ages 9-12 Format: Paperback Pages: 384 Includes CD-ROM Publisher: Collector's Guide Publishing (Apogee Books) Date: 2006 |
