Space Travel Kids

What cartoon had kids lost in space?
I remember this tv show as a kid that came on Cartoon Network sometime in 96 or 97. It was in a block with George of Jungle and Speed Racer. It was a show about several kids (almost scooby doo like) stuck on a space ship traveling the galaxy trying to get home to earth. They would fight the main bad guy for the episode and then be sent on a "for sure" course home until one of them did something to the ship and were sent off in another direction.
I have googled this like mad and cannot find the name of this show.
I think what your thinking of is Josie and the Pussycats. A show similar to Scooby Doo which was originally in the 70's but was on Cartoon Network in the 90's. Great show by the way, used to watch it all the time.
I don't know if the theme will help you remember it but I'll post it anyway

Kids to Space: A Space Traveler's Guide $29.95 Kids to Space: A Space Traveler's Guide In the interest of getting kids interested in science, math, space, ........Lonnie Schorer invited 6000 students, in 99 schools in every state in the US and from Canada, to take an imaginary trip to space - each asking 3 questions prior to launch. This resulted in 18,000 questions, answered by 83 experts. So, this is: An art book: there are 146 student illustrations in the book and another 1000+ on the CD/ROM accompanying the book, set to Hawkwind soundtracks. A science teachers textbook: packed with science information in 94 different categories. A reading literacy book: a children's story, in large font, precedes each chapter - introducing younger children to the material in the chapter in simple everyday terms. A career guide: a mini-bio for each of the 83 experts is included so that kids can see that one doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to participate in the space effort. An adult book: The average adult does not know 85% of the information in the book. It would seem an investigative expedition, where children think about tomorrow, learn techniques for problem solving to reach a goal, explore the unknown and express their visions for the future is, as an educational exploration, as relevant as a land-based expedition. It is essentially the first private citizens guide to space - generated by children. These children are our future explorers, and we need to encourage and reach them now. Kids To Space Special Edition Author: Lonnie Jones Schorer Reading Level: Ages 9-12 Format: Paperback Pages: 384 Includes CD-ROM Publisher: Collector's Guide Publishing (Apogee Books) Date: 2006 |

Amazing Space: A Book of Answers for Kids $12.95 Amazing Space: A Book of Answers for Kids From School Library JournalGrade 5-8. Arranging her material into nine general categories, Campbell presents a great deal of information on space exploration, the solar system, individual planets, galaxies, and related phenomena. Diagrams are used to help explain some points, while sidebars add interesting factoids and related anecdotes or suggest experiments. The writing is clear and the information logically arranged within each chapter, leading readers from the simpler points to more complex subjects. Most answers are brief, but they provide sufficient detail to be useful for report writers as well as those satisfying personal curiosity. A lengthy glossary offers definitions of terms, many of which are explained more fully in the text. A bibliography of sources is included, and readers might also use it as a guide to further reading. The careful attention to sequencing and useful index make this question-and-answer title an informative introduction to astronomy and space.?Elaine Fort Weischedel, Turner Free Library, Randolph, MA Book Details: Reading level: Ages 9-12 Paperback: 192 pages Publisher: Jossey-Bass (April 11, 1997) Language: English Book Dimensions: 9 x 6 x 0.6 inches |
